The Victoria Police (Fees and Charges) Regulations 2024 are now in effect. The Regulations set out fees and charges for services by police officers and Victoria Police employees. This follows public consultation via Engage Victoria.
The Victorian Government indexes certain fees and fines each year. Fees will increase from 1 July.

Fingerprinting fees (GST exempt):

Payment for both Livescan and ink fingerprinting services must be made in person.

Please note, cash is not accepted.
Regional fingerprint facility locations only accept on-the-day payment (through a QR code).
Other payments include cheque or money order. However, please allow for additional bank processing times.
Cheques and bank drafts must be issued by an Australian financial institution. Payments must be made payable to ‘Victoria Police’.
Please note, EFTPOS and cash are not accepted.

Organisations applying for a CVF number must be based in Victoria and must be for Victorian use. If you wish to apply for a CVF number: 1. Complete an Application for a Community Volunteer Fee (CVF) number:

Organisations who have previously applied for a CVF number and are unable to locate it, please contact PES-CVF-MGR@police.vic.gov.au .
Before you make a payment to process your National Police Check , you must:
Write down the payment reference number on the application form.
Cheque and money orders must be made payable to Victoria Police with the correct fee . Cheques and bank drafts must be issued by an Australian financial institution.
